This presentation outlines advanced methodologies for hypersonic testing, focusing on the CIRA PWT Complex, including the Scirocco and Ghibli wind tunnels. It covers the test facilities, typical test campaign activities, and preparation of the instrumentation. Emphasis is placed on surface temperature characterization of test specimens using dual-color pyrometry, a key technique for thermal monitoring. The nozzle redesign in the Ghibli tunnel and the development of a dedicated calorimetric probe are also discussed.
