Specific needs may require different curriculums for individual students. For example, students enrolled in executive PhD programs or recipients of scholarships funded by an institution or company can agree with the latter on a personalized training plan aligned with their scientific interests and consistent with the educational objectives of the Doctoral Program.

The courses offered by the Doctorate in Industrial and Information Engineering are divided into:
- Transdisciplinary modules organized by the University
- Language development: Intermediate English course. Furthermore, to facilitate language learning for doctoral students, free language courses are available using the Rosetta Stone platform, offering a choice of 24 languages.
- Research and knowledge management of European and international research systems: 3 modules organized in collaboration with the Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE): a) Open access & science; b)
- Dissemination, Communication & Exploitation: How to Maximize Results; c) Possible Post-PhD Training Pathways.
Valorization and Dissemination of Results, Intellectual Property, and Open Access to Research Data and Products: 3 Seminars: a) Research Spin-Offs and Start-ups; Introductory Concepts and Prerequisites for Starting a Business; b) Business Models and Regulations; c) The Innovation Ecosystem Supporting Start-ups. - Fundamental Principles of Ethics, Gender Equality, and Integrity: 2 Seminars on Fundamental Principles of Ethics, Gender Equality, and Integrity;
- Interdisciplinary Modules Organized by the Polytechnic and Basic Sciences Doctoral School
- Language Specialization: Advanced English and Academic-Scientific English.
