The training activities of the PhD programme in Design for Made in Italy: Identity, Innovation and Sustainability, offered by partner universities, aim to enhance research in the context of the productive, cultural and social ecosystem, promoting both open, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research, stimulated by knowledge and a scientific approach, and research aimed at addressing strategic digital and green challenges for the country's development.

- training research managers and expert researchers capable of configuring and implementing processes, products and product systems, innovative and sustainable services, dialoguing with businesses and territories, promoting their global competitiveness and the continuous acquisition of new knowledge and technologies
- promoting the knowledge system in relation to the productive fabrics of Made in Italy
- expanding the Made in Italy project, from training to industry to the social sphere
- strengthening the territorial identity of Made in Italy
- inserting Made in Italy into a continuous process of open innovation, through the support of greentech, digital and collaborative technologies.
