The PhD program in Internationalization of Legal Systems and Fundamental Rights addresses key issues for understanding contemporary law, with a particular focus on fundamental rights at the various legal levels: national, European, and international.

Research is conducted within four curricula—Public Law; Criminal Law and Procedural Law; Private Law, Interculturality, and Procedural Law; International, Supranational, and Comparative Law—which, while distinct, engage in a shared dialogue.

The topics of study range from the evolution of legal systems under the pressure of Europeanization and globalization to an in-depth analysis of the new challenges for the protection of human rights in complex institutional contexts. Central to this focus is the integration of dogmatic analysis of law and a comparative approach, enabling PhD students to grasp trends, divergences, and convergences between legal systems.
